Mosaic Plates



Underneath the mosaic are old Homer Laughlin plates - scratched and stained - a perfect base for mosaics. About 2002.

Bathroom Mirror Cupboard

This was a $3.00 cupboard from a yard sale. I rag-painted it, added a new knob and then tiled the mirror edge. 2009.

Glass Mosaic Tray




Last night I got the bug to do some mosaic work after I watched the Bottle Village video. My Mom gave me an old metal tray with wood handles. It's a perfect size for these glass tesserae. Tiles are placed for color balance and intensity. I've since grouted with white and then will stain the grout darker.

Well-worn crocheted rag rug


I couldn't very well photograph the one without the other, even though this one has seen some mending! I love the nubby feel of the crocheted fabrics. Again, it's made of my old clothes and sheets. Early 1990s.

Old Colander Rain Chain



Colanders, baling wire, old rusty washers. This makes a terrific gushing sound when rain comes down from the gutter.
