Mosaic Plates
Underneath the mosaic are old Homer Laughlin plates - scratched and stained - a perfect base for mosaics. About 2002.

Glass Mosaic Tray
Last night I got the bug to do some mosaic work after I watched the Bottle Village video. My Mom gave me an old metal tray with wood handles. It's a perfect size for these glass tesserae. Tiles are placed for color balance and intensity. I've since grouted with white and then will stain the grout darker.

Well-worn crocheted rag rug
I couldn't very well photograph the one without the other, even though this one has seen some mending! I love the nubby feel of the crocheted fabrics. Again, it's made of my old clothes and sheets. Early 1990s.
Wood Art Sculptures
Sculptures of wood scraps. I was inspired by the Inuksuit / Inukshuk sculptures of the Inuit people of Canada. 2010.
Showing off my ribbons!!
First Rate Sweater of Second Hand Cotton Yarns
Our granddaughter wearing a sweater I designed and made for her. The yarns were bought at a yard sale, so it's recycling.
Mosaic Wood Stove Surround
It took me 8 days to do this tiling, and after living with it for 5 years, I removed it all - took even longer for the demolition! I surely am glad I took these photos! 2004.
